“We absolutely won’t renew with Tottenham” – agent touts player for exit

Amid speculation of a move to Italy, Fernando Llorente’s agent has revealed that it would ‘be a great honour if it was true that Napoli wanted him’.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker has hardly kicked a ball since his move from Swansea City and now his agent, who happens to be his brother appears to be touting for an exit from the club.

Laughably he was quoted as stating that the forward would not renew a contract at Tottenham, with twelve months left on his deal at the club. It is highly unlikely in any case that we would look to ever extend beyond that, his legs have already gone!

Let’s face it, not many Spurs fans would be disappointed if the 33-year-old were to leave, his lack of mobility does not make him an ideal player which fits the typical Pochettino style of play. He was given a few chances to impress last season but failed to take his opportunity and missed some glaring chances in front of goal which led to some Spurs fans claiming that they would rather see the likes of Reo Griffiths or Kaziah Sterling given a chance instead.

Llorente has previously experienced Serie A football in his career, having played for Juventus and would welcome the opportunity to return to Italy.

“We know nothing about any interest from Napoli,” Chus Llorente told CalcioNapoli24.

“Until now no-one has contacted us from Napoli or Tottenham, so I don’t have much to say about it.

“Of course, we’d be honoured to deal with the Italians because we’re talking about one of the top clubs in Italy.

“We’re talking about a top club, so it would really be a great honour if it was true that Napoli wanted him. “We absolutely won’t renew with Tottenham.

“Ancelotti? He’s one of the best Coaches in the world! He’s won virtually everything there is to win, there’s nothing else to say about him.

“Joining Juve’s title rivals? Let’s slow down! For now, there are no negotiations.”
