Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social media to express their frustration at Tanguy Ndombele.
Tottenham’s club record £55million signing (Guardian) was named in Jose Mourinho’s starting eleven for this afternoon’s match against Southampton but managed just 25 minutes of action before having to be replaced by Giovani Lo Celso.
The French international went to the ground clutching his groin and hobbled off the pitch with the assistance of the Spurs medical staff.

Ndombele played the full 90 minutes in an impressive display during Tottenham’s 2-2 draw against Norwich City but did not feel comfortable in being involved in the Boxing Day victory against Brighton, the Spurs head coach revealed (Metro).
He has only started two Premier League matches since Mourinho’s arrival and has failed to make the squad on four occasions in what has been a frustrating campaign for the recent recruit.
Here is how some Spurs fans reacted to Ndombele’s early withdrawal.

Our only line-breaker

Serious questions need to be asked about how he passed his medical. Never been fit since he arrived and Jose won’t put up with that rubbish. Wish we’d signed a top full back for that money!

63 million to keep our medical staff busy

He lasted 1 game and 25 mins before his next injury. Whats that like 4-5 injuries now? Ndombele has no future at this club, I can say that already.
