Sheffield Wednesday supporters have taken to Twitter to react to the news that Josh Onomah could be recalled from his loan spell.
The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has been with the Championship outfit since the beginning of the season after agreeing to a season-long loan with the Owls.
Onomah spent the last campaign on loan with Aston Villa, where he scored four Championship goals in 33 appearances.
The 21-year-old has been back at Hotspur Way receiving treatment in Wednesday’s win against Middlesbrough on Boxing Day and is expected to be out of action until February.
Mauricio Pochettino recently admitted that he was considering recalling Onomah from his loan spell due to his current injury crisis and following Mousa Dembele’s departure to China.
News of Dele Alli’s hamstring injury which will keep him out until at least early March will only increase the chances of an early recall.
Some Sheffield Wednesday fans certainly didn’t seem too bothered about the prospect of Onomah’s early departure.
I’ll drive him there myself

More like he’s had enough here and not getting in our team. Plus living in London.

Sound. Not really shown anything in his time here. Seems to me like when ever he’s played, he’s played like a loan player. Trying things in wrong areas. Seems petulant in the tackle. Gave away a pen and made a silly foul away at Forest that led to a goal…
