Wenger: Arsenal will pip Spurs or Chelsea to Champions League

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that his side can pip either Spurs or Chelsea to Champions League qualification.

Arsenal are four points behind us but have a game in hand which could narrow the gap to one point. We currently sit in third, however Chelsea also have a game in hand which could take them a point ahead of us and reclaim third place.

Let’s take a look a the remaining fixtures for each club:-

Spurs

Everton (H), Chelsea (A), Man City (H), Wigan (A), Southampton (H), Stoke (A), Sunderland (H)

Arsenal

West Brom (A), Norwich (H), Everton (H), Fulham (A), Man Utd (H), QPR (A), Wigan (H), Newcastle (A)

Chelsea

Sunderland (H), Spurs (H), Fulham (A), Liverpool (A), Swansea (H), Man Utd (A), Villa (A), Everton (H)

There are tough fixtures ahead for all sides.  If we can pick up six points from the Everton, Chelsea and Man City matches then we will be in a great position.  However we all know that potential upsets could lie ahead for all three teams – on paper I feel we have a great chance of making it into the Champions League.   Wenger feels that his side’s experience will guide them into Europe’s top competition again once more – do you agree?

Wenger said: “We have the experience, we have done it before and is what we want to do again. I am sure we will, but it demands a lot of dedication and nerves until the end.”
