“West Ham couldn’t hire Tim Sherwood” – Some fans react to Mauricio Pochettino press rumours

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been taking to social media to share their reaction after Mauricio Pochettino was linked with taking over at West Ham United.

The Daily Star reported that the Hammers have ambitions to appoint Pochettino as a replacement for Manuel Pellegrini.

Pochettino was sacked as head coach at Tottenham after a poor start to the new season which had saw the club humiliated in cup competitions at the hands of Bayern Munich and Colchester United whilst also finding themselves in the unfamiliar position of fourteenth in the Premier League heading into the recent international break.

Daniel Levy wasted no time in appointing a replacement with Jose Mourinho taking up the role less than twelve hours following confirmation on Pochettino’s departure.

Pellegrini is said to be under intense pressure at the London Stadium and are currently just one point away from the relegation zone having lost seven of their last nine matches.
