West Han United vice-chairman Karren Brady has praised Tottenham Hotspur following their progression to the Champions League final.

Spurs travelled to Ajax on Tuesday night and found themselves 3-0 down on aggregate after the Dutch side scored two goals during the first half which left Mauricio Pochettino’s side with a seemingly impossible task to qualify.

However, a spirited second half display saw Spurs display a never say die attitude and they scored three times in the final 45 minutes, including a goal which capped off Lucas Moura’s hat-trick deep into injury time to break the hearts of the Dutch giants.

It was the second impressive comeback in the space of 24 hours after Liverpool had also booked their place in the final, coming back from 3-0 down in the first leg to win 4-0 at Anfield.

Both sides will now meet in an all-English final in Madrid on June 1st at Atletico’s Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Brady wrote in The Sun: “Salah must have loaned that T-shirt to Spurs who were reminded by manager Mauricio Pochettino that Liverpool had done the impossible and so could they against Ajax in Amsterdam.

“So in an all-Premier League final Liverpool or Spurs have the chance of grasping the European Cup as consolation for the probability that the two-club Grand National finish to the title will end in City winning by a nostril.

“Spurs were the one team with education and talent to measure up to our two Titans. Argentine Poch has taught them to ignore any tendencies to an inferiority complex to run parallel to Liverpool in English football’s finest 24 hours.”

  1. It’s a pleasant change to hear M/s Brady making a positive comment about us. Usually it’s critical and unwarranted diatribe. Be it our stadium, or King Kane she has been half empty.
The truth is all the Spurs “negative” brigade have had it shoved down their throats….
word of warning be prepared for dirty tricks by the press this summer…..
We should be proud beyond proud of our team our club and our future
