News broke this morning that the FA have given Tottenham Hotspur manager a two-match touchline ban and a £10,000 fine.

Some Spurs fans took to Twitter to express their frustration at the news which will see Pochettino have to watch Saturday’s away fixture at Southampton along with the visit to Anfield later this month from high up in the stadium, rather than his usual position of sitting among the subs and coaching staff.

It will mean that his assistant Jesus Perez will take up the responsibility of passing the instructions onto the players in his absence.

The charge comes after Pochettino was involved in a furious exchange of words with referee Mike Dean after the 2-1 loss against Burnley last month.

Pochettino was furious was the official’s decision to incorrectly award the Clarets a corner which led to their opening goal.

The defeat almost certainly ended the club’s hopes of a late push for the Premier League title.

Here’s how some Spurs fans have reacted.

  1. I have been commenting for some time now for the BIAS towards Spurs.
Spurs have become a game changer on how to perform without breaking the bank.
It seems all the pundits, other club owners and players alike thinks Spurs should spend hundreds of millions
of pounds on players annually. Most of those acquisitions don’t live up to expectations. It’s an irrational and uncompromising waste of money.
e.g. City have spent an estimated 1.14 or 1.4 billion pounds over a period on players. Their annual revenue is estimated around 300 million? make sense? In all, they all envy Spurs. HERE’S A QUESTION FOR YOU?!
Why is it that almost every player Poch has an interest in the other so call big five all of a sudden take interest to outbid Spurs? I’ll tell you why, because they have no direction for their club and just waiting to see what Poch is going to do! NOT GOOD GOOD COACHES, have very little coaching to do at all; after all, they just bought another seasoned player because their previous expense didn’t work out. HA! HA! HA!
