Fenerbahçe have identified Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko as a potential transfer target this summer, according to Turkish outlet Sabah Spor.
The French international has failed to win over the Tottenham faithful since his big money move from Newcastle United on transfer deadline day in August 2016. His performances have been frustrating to watch and has now become a ridicule among our fanbase.
Newcastle receive £5m each year of the £30m fee they agreed with Spurs, unless the player leaves the club, in which case they get everything they are owed.
There is absolutely no doubt that he needs to move on, at 28, he has seen himself left out of the French World Cup squad and needs to get his career back on track. More importantly, Tottenham need players who are prepared to roll up their sleeves and take a game by the scruff of its neck. Sadly, this isn’t the case of Sissoko.
Here’s a selection of reaction from the Spurs faithful.
