Who Mark Lawrenson thinks will win between Spurs and Liverpool

BBC football pundit Mark Lawrenson has had his say on who he thinks will win the Premier League encounter between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.

Lawrenson is known for never tipping his former side to suffer a defeat and has once again sat on the fence with his prediction.

Liverpool are flying high and are yet to lose a game this season, while Spurs tasted defeat in our last match against Watford and will have to make do without Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli in the early kick off at Wembley on Saturday.

Last season, we absolutely took Liverpool apart in the same fixture beating the Reds 4-1 with a brace from Harry Kane, along with a goal apiece from Heung-min Son and Dele Alli.

He told BBC Sport Online: “Liverpool came unstuck against Spurs at Wembley last season but I have a feeling that both teams might cancel each other out this time.

“So I am going to go for a draw.

“Both teams are going well, and I think they would both be happy enough for a point.

“Lawro’s prediction: 1-1.”
