Tottenham Hotspur booked their place in the quarter final of the Champions League last night with a 4-0 aggregate win over Borussia Dortmund.
It is the first time in eight years that Spurs have managed to reach the last eight of the prestigious European tournament when Harry Redknapp’s side lost 5-0 on aggregate to Real Madrid.
Spurs will not have the prospect of a reunion with Madrid after they were comprehensively beaten by Ajax last night to end their hopes of a fourth successive title.
The quarter-final and semi-final draw will take place in Nyon on March 15th, where Spurs will learn of their next opponent.
Who could Spurs face?
Ajax
FC Porto / Roma
Paris Saint Germain / Manchester United
Juventus / Atletico Madrid
Manchester City / Schalke 04
Barcelona / Lyon
Bayern Munich / Liverpool
Whichever way the draw turns out, there is no doubt that Mauricio Pochettino’s side will have a tough draw in the next round. However, after a comprehensive win over Dortmund, not many sides will be wanting to face Spurs.
