Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports linking the club with a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Paco Alcacer.
90min claim that the German giants have offered both Tottenham and Manchester United the opportunity to bring the striker to the Premier League for the remainder of the season.
Tottenham have been left short of an out and out forward following Harry Kane’s hamstring injury.
The England forward is not expected to return to training until April and miss a crucial chunk of the club’s hopes of finishing in the top four for a fifth successive season.
This season, partly due to injury he has found regular first team football hard to come by and is likely to have been even more difficult following the arrival of Erling Braut Haaland.
Here is how some Spurs fans reacted to the possibility of Alcacer heading to North London.
Not what we need imo.
Same stature as we already have in Son and Moura

Would be a dream come true

We need a big presence who can stay healthy for five months and score a ton of goals. Not sure Alcacer is that player. In fact, not sure such a player is available to us in this window.

If there’s nothing else available I’d take him, not as good as Cavani but better than benteke, slimani and the fella from Cape Verde

Not a target man, can't see it happening.

Great player. Quite small though, only 2cm taller than Lucas. That is, if we are looking for a target man. But can play on the wing too.

Good player but always injured
— Moura that (@KJudd82) 20 January 2020
Take him. He's a gaol scorer who "smells goals" as the Manager likes to say. He's also the right age & has big club experience.

Happily take him. Decent striker
