Leyton Orient have signed Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Lee Butcher on a one-year deal.
The 21-year-old was released by Spurs at the end of last season and will compete with Jamie Jones for the O’s for the number one shirt.
“I’m really please to have signed for Leyton Orient and I’m looking forward to the opportunity here,” Butcher told Orient’s official website.
“I’m going to try and push Jamie, try to get into the first team and make a name for myself.”
Butcher spent a month on loan at Brisbane Road last season, but failed to make an appearance.
