Gallery: Five things we learned from the 1-0 home win against Brighton

From the thrills of last Wednesday against Man City to the frustratingly dull affair that was the Brighton match.

It always looked as if it would be one of those that Spurs would romp if they grabbed an early goal, but struggle if they didn’t.

With Brighton fighting for Premier League survival and Spurs fighting for a top four finish, it really was defence against attack for 90 minutes.

Here are five things we learned from the late Tottenham victory:

We all knew this already, but can we talk about Danny Rose's performance? In a pretty slow and boring game, Rose was the one constant outlet for pace, drive, and passion on that left hand side. One minute he was zooming down the wing to get in behind, and the next he was sliding through his own penalty area, saving a certain goal with a superb last ditch challenge. The boy only knows one way!
