Barca linked with Defoe swoop

Reports today are linking Jermain Defoe with a shock move to Catalan giants, Barcelona.

The Sunday Express has claimed that the reigning European Champions have been checking in on Defoe, after his goal-scoring exploits this season caught the eye.

Defoe has scored 15 times for club and country this season and Pep Guardiola has reportedly asked for scouting reports on Defoe, who is almost certainly to be part of England’s World Cup squad.

Spurs are unlikely to be tempted to sell, however, as Defoe is seen as an indispensable member of the first team.

If tempted, Spurs would be looking for at least double the Â£15m they shelled out to bring Defoe back to the club last January.

i love defoe but i highly doubt barce are in for him given their strikers consist of lionel messi, zlatan ibrahimovic, thierry henry, and bojan. plus i think we have learnt from last time NOT to sell defoe, h is too valuable for us.
