Gallas set for new deal

William Gallas looks set to prolong his stay with Tottenham by signing a new contract.
The Frenchman signed a one-year deal upon joining Spurs in the summer, making the switch across North London from Arsenal after they released him.
He has made one of the centre-back berths his own as Spurs sit in fifth and have undertaken a run to the Champions League quarter-finals.
Gallas claimed he would be interested in extending his contract after the victory over AC Milan and Daniel Levy has opened up talks with the experienced defender.
“The chairman’s doing a deal,” said Harry Redknapp.
“William fully deserves it, he has been top class. He’s a nice man, a quiet man who just gets on with it.
“He could have gone abroad during the summer and made money, but the deal he did with us was an awful lot less than he was on at Arsenal.
“He has been one of the signings of the season. He has been magnificent for us and has played nearly all the games.”

But i was wrong and I’m happy i was, hes been outstanding for us this season and I honestly think if we didn’t sign him we wouldn’t be where we are in the league or CL today, because of all the injuries we’ve had at the back, I hope he signs a new deal with us, we need to keep him!
