Totteham Hotspur welcome relegation threatened Cardiff City to White Hart Lane on Sunday as both sides look for a much-needed three points for much different reasons.

The first 45 minutes against Dnipro last night wasn’t good viewing, however the quality of Adebayor in the second half certainly was.

Onto, the team selection. Would you go for the same starting XI? Leave your team selections below.

Here’s what we have come up with:-

Lloris

Walker Dawson Vertonghen Rose

Townsend Sandro Dembele Eriksen

Adebayor Soldado

Some players (like Sandro!) will need a rest after Thurs night. We have some very big games coming up and Cardiff should be one of those games where Spurs could utilise their squad. (Depending on the fitness of our defenders) I would go with:
    Lloris
    Walker Kaboul Vertonghan Rose
    Lennon Erikson Capoue Chadli
    Kane
    Soldado

no no no no no no no – Danny Rose has a game changing mistake in him every time – Fryers did well and provided the width we needed when eriksen forgot he was supposed to be a Left sided midfielder – p[lay Fryers instead of rose
    Lloris
    Walker – Daws – Vert – Fryers
    Lennon – Dembele – Paulinho – Eriksen
    Adebayor
    Soldado

Assuming Kaboul has now left the country, we'll have to stick with our calamatous captain. The only change I would make would be Fryers for Rose. At least the youngster shows some enthusiasm and effort in his recovery runs. Rose finds defending a chore in which getting back from a run forward should be done as slow as possible !!

Rose needs to sit on the bench and watch Fryers!! Every time Fryers got the ball I felt assured we were going to keep possession as opposed to the heart attack I get from Rose. Fryers cant be any worse than Rose is so let him start.

    Lloris
    Walker – Kaboul – Verts – Fryers
    Lennon – Sandro – Dembele – Eriksen
    Ade – Soldado

You cannot play Eriksen wide left – he drifts infield too much and leaves our left flank exposed. However, he has to play and that means slotting him in behind one lone striker – Adebayor. If fit, Sandro must play so that gives us the core of the team around whom everyone else can be deployed – in a 4.1.4.1 formation –
    — Lloris —
    Naughton – Dawson – Vertonghem – Fryers
    — Sandro —
    Townsend – Paulinho – Eriksen – Dembele
    — Adebayor —

This of course assumes that Walker, Kaboul and Rose are not fit, but I would like to see Fryers given a run In the team – especially against weak opposition – to get more confidence.

Eriksen drifting in makes us less predictable as he finds space in the hole and the opposition find it harder to pick him up. Playing two up top occupies both CB's and also means we can press higher up the pitch. Starting with 1 up top is negative against weaker opposition and we got what we deserved against Norwich.

With the possible exception of Rose, your selection is mostly right on, assuming Walker is fit and Sandro can play another match after 3 days rest. The Beast made SUCH a difference to our midfield last night, always strong and assured and proving once again that he's our best defensive midfielder. If we are ever going to play our 4-4-2 formation in a Premier League match, then Sunday's home match is it. Watching Soldado in the flesh last night ( my first this year ) you could see that if, he could cure his goalscoring blues, he would be the perfect centre foward. His movement and ball control are great and he has an eye for a through pass on goal. Come on, Robbie, get those goalscoring boots on!

    Lloris
    Walker Kaboul vertongen Fryers
    Paulinho Sandro Eriksen
    Chadli Ade Soldado

    Lets play 4 3 3

Prefere Fryers for Rose at LB, a midfield trio withvSandro covering for the defence and Paulinho and Eriksen going forward would be great, and an attack with both Soldado and Ade against teams we should dominate and just one winger who could shift side would be great
