Tottenham have agreed a fee in excess of £2million with Blackburn Rovers for the sale of Pascal Chimbonda.

The 30-year-old right-back has found himself out of favour at White Hart Lane since returning to the club from Sunderland in January, and has only made three appearances under Harry Redknapp.

We’ll bring you more on this story as we get it.

Not bad business for someone clearly not involved in the 1st team!

good luck chimbonda. Always thought he was a class player. good at defending and attacking always linked up well with lennon and could deliver a good cross. But corluka is on top of his game at the moment so chimbonda has to count himself unlucky. One last thing Macca u dont half talk a load of s**t.

Bought back from Sunderland for £3million.
Played three times, then sold for £2million.
    So that’s £333333.33 per game!
    Marvellous.

what did we pay Wigan in the first place and how much did we get from Sunderland

Why couldn’t he be used as loose change in a deal to bring Warnock to Spurs. As we could do with cover at LB, if BAE gets himself suspended.

yes, £333333.33 per game, unless clauses with Rovers bring the price above £2m. But his efforts played a part in our revival in the 2nd half of last season, and so ensuring premier league survival (worth a reputed £15m/season), and pushing us to 8th (worth a further c.£5m in prize money), not to mention a cup final.
I like Chimbo, was sad to see him leave the 1st time, happy on his return, and sad once again that he’s off.
But we have a ridiculous no of rightbacks, even before we bought 2 more, so his and Gunter’s departures is no surprise.
