Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Axel Witsel has confirmed he will be staying at Zenit this transfer window.
That’s another player who won’t be heading to White Hart Lane ahead of today’s 6pm transfer deadline. Spurs fans are becoming increasingly frustrated on social media with Daniel Levy and the Tottenham board who will really have to pull off some impressive signings to appease the angry fan base.
The Belgian midfielder told the press: “I will not leave. Zenit took that decision. They can’t find a player to replace me. It is a pity as I hoped to leave.”
