Bale hoping for Spurs return

According to The Daily Star Gareth Bale has reportedly snubbed a move to Manchester United and is determined to return to Tottenham this summer.

We of course sold Bale to Real Madrid rather than Manchester United back in the summer of 2013.
However, five years on, the Wales international’s La Liga adventure appears to be drawing to a close.

The article says reports claim the forward had set his sights set on a move to United, despite the Red Devils landing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal back in January.

However Spanish website Don Balon disputes that saying Bale has rejected an offer to quit Real Madrid and join Jose Mourinho’s side.

The article goes on to say that United are expected to cut the “deadwood” from their squad at the end of the season in a culling that could see as many as nine players depart with French star Anthony Martial being the biggest name out of all the possible casualties that will include the likes of Daley Blind, Matteo Darmian and Marouane Fellaini.

However Don Balon say Bale will not be making a move to Old Trafford because the Wales international has supposedly set his sights on a stunning return to Tottenham.

The article adds that so desperate is Bale to return to Spurs that Real president Florentino Perez could even grant him his wish and in December Mauricio Pochettino talked up a potential Real Madrid deal.”Of course he’s a fantastic player. I saw him in Madrid when we played there,” he said.
“He’s always kept in contact with the people who worked here in the past.I don’t have a close relationship with him or the people around him. But you never know what’s going to happen in football.”
