Sky sources are reporting that Everton are now in talks with Newcastle United over the signing of Tottenham Hotspur target Moussa Sissoko.

The midfielder was given permission by France earlier today to leave their training camp to return to England for talks with an unnamed club.

Apparently, Spurs are reluctant to meet Newcastle’s £30M valuation of Sissoko and Ronald Foeman’s side are now frontrunners to land the player.

Tottenham fans continue to be glued to social media and the television in the hope that Daniel Levy will finally spend some money.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. They can have him. Not worth even the £16 million Spurs are said to have offered. His stats have tailed off over the 4 years since arriving at Newcastle and are well worse than Townsends! 1 good Euros and a few good performances in a relegated side do not make him worth £30-35 Millillion. Worth a punt at half what they want for him.

    • What are you on about? How has levy done is over? He is not worth 30m. Small minded people like you seem to be happy to spend money if it’s on the wrong player or over priced. I bet you said the same last year when we didn’t invest much but ended up finishing 3rd. You need to find another sport to follow because you clearly don’t understand how football and transfers work. Levy has done superb. We have a stadium to pay for and then we can compete against the big boys but until then we need to spend wisely and janson, wanyama and the winger that were swapping for n Jie is good business.

  2. Another transfer window goes by with us acting like amateurs once again. We do sales so much better than purchases and in a CL season as well. Still Joe and Daniel stay rich.

  3. Karl

I really don’t know why you guys are so anti Levy, get a grip mate.

Sissoko is not worth 12million let alone 30!!

Levy has been nothing but a revelation to our club, you guys have short memories.

We have a great squad that nearly won the league and the best stadium in Europe just round the corner!

In Levy we trust, in Poch we trust, COYS !!

  4. ENIC and Levy, alias delboy and rodney, surpass themselves by making even more of a profit with detriment to the team than usual. Tossers.

  5. A woeful transfer window that is sure to have consequences. My predictions for the season, more dropped points from not being able to break teams down, combined with not being able to play without dembele, especially in the big games. Lamela and Eriksen will shine (particularly in the champions league) and will want to leave next summer and we'll all look back on last season as the time we actually believed this team was going places, and wasn't just a lucrative business model. Transfer deadline day has become something of a disappointment in recent years but this year is without a doubt the worst in recent memory after another summer of sales outstripping purchases. We are all supposed to believe that crystal palace have players we cant afford and their club record transfer is more than ours. 170M from the prem TV money, 50m from champs league (which the team earned from qualifying), 97m in sales (including berahino and townsend money from last year) and what do we have for it? Our squad has been trimmed (including Chadli who was one of my favorite under rated players), our head of recruitment has quit, our youth team coach has left and went to Man U, we have made zero attempt to sign a number 10 which we've needed since we went 4231 4 years ago, but we've signed two low cost squad members and have 2 in the pipeline that no-one has ever heard of – total spend not even half our sales. I'm actually depressed
