FA Cup a “must win” for Spurs believes Ginola

Former Spurs winger David Ginola says Mauricio Pochettino’s side ‘have to’ win the FA Cup this season, ahead of their semi-final clash against Manchester United.

We will have the home advantage (technically)when we face the Red Devils at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Our last trophy success came in the League Cup, beating Chelsea in the 2008 final, and with one of the best young teams in the country and one of the most highly-regarded managers in world football, Ginola believes the time to end their hunt for silverware is now.
Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT Ginola said: “Yes, Tottenham can win the FA Cup – they have to.i think it would be a great achievement.
“If they finish in the top four again, it will be a good season because they would qualify for the Champions League and that’s important for the club.

Ginola added: “But winning a trophy would shush all the people saying, ‘Pochettino is doing a great job but he hasn’t won anything’, which we’ve heard a lot.I think it’s going to be great for Mauricio to work in the same way he does with a trophy in his hands.
“And for the club and for the fans, I think it would be a great achievement to win the FA Cup again.”
