Kane’s hat-trick of hat-tricks chance

An article by The Daily Mail says Harry Kane will achieve something that has not been done since 1946 if he scores another hat-trick when we travel to Swansea on Tuesday night.

The inform hitman netted three goals against both Burnley and Southampton either side of Christmas to break Alan Shearer’s record for the most Premier League goals scored in a calendar year.

And the article says Kane can set another Prem record if he hits Swansea for three. No player has ever scored hat-tricks in three consecutive PL games, although seven players have managed such a feat in the history of the Football League with Liverpool’s Jack Balmer the last man to do so 71 years ago.

It adds that Kane scored eight hat-tricks in all competitions in 2017 — with West Brom, Fulham, Stoke, Leicester, Hull and APOEL his other victims and Such has been his deadly form, he is only priced at a modest 9/1 by multiple bookmakers to start 2018 by notching another trio at the Liberty Stadium.

The article adds that if Kane’s hat-trick of hat-tricks bid falls short on Tuesday, he will still be well placed to break multiple other records, he is just one goal shy of tying with Teddy Sheringham as Tottenham’s leading Premier League scorer and three away from Shearer’s tally of 11 PL hat-tricks and four short of the Spurs record for the most three-goal hauls, set by Jimmy Greaves (15).

The article goes on to sad that Kane had his first chance to score a hat-trick of Premier League hat-tricks earlier this year but, having ended the 2016-17 season by firing four past Leicester and three against Hull, he failed to find the net in Tottenham’s 2017-18 opener at Newcastle.

It adds that remarkably for a player with 96 top-flight goals, he has still never scored in August.
