Negotiations Begin For Walker

According to BBCSport, Manchester City have opened communication over the potential signing of Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker.

Rumours of Walker’s departure have been circulating for months now and news of Kieran Trippier’s contract extension will only add fuel to the fires.

Though Trippier emerged as the favoured right-back ahead of Walker at the back end of last season, Spurs will undoubtedly look to secure a large fee for the full-back’s services.

Of course, negotiations are in the earliest possible stage, according to BBCSport, so the two clubs have not yet reached any sort of agreement over a transfer fee, but we do know City gaffer Pep Guardiola is extremely keen on the Englishman.

Manchester City have so far released two right-backs in Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna and are also interested in Dani Alves who is currently without a club.

How much do you want for Kyle Walker? He was in the Team of the Year last season and selling to a rival always demands a higher figure, for me. So I’d say £50 million, to really help us bring in more talent. Do you agree?
