‘Not good enough’ insists Dele

According to The Independent, Dele Alli has said his side produced an unacceptable performance as they slumped to a 2-1 defeat at Leicester.

First half fine finishes from Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez came amid a very poor display from Mauricio Pochettino’s men, with our improved second half performance not enough to dace us a point.

Dele of course has come under fire for some of his performances this season and to his credit he was quick to face up to the media as we dropped another three more points in a dismal run that has included last Saturday’s draw against West Bromwich Albion and a north London derby defeat against Arsenal.

“It was a very disappointing performance from us in the first half,” said Alli. “We should never have been in the situation where we were two goals behind. It was not good enough.

Dele added: “We can’t focus on that. After performances like this we have to keep picking up points. To lose to Leicester away is disappointing but we have to pick ourselves up.
“We have to keep performing. It is a long season and we just have to keep picking up points.”
