Pochettino factor will snare Grealish believes Spurs hero

Mauricio Pochettino’s track record with young players will prove key to luring Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish to Tottenham, according to Ledley King.

According to the Daily Star Grealish is available for around £20m as Villa are  deep in financial problems.

Several Premier League sides including Liverpool, Leicester and Fulham are interested but Tottenham look set to win the race.

And Spurs legend King believes Grealish will be swayed by Pochettino’s forward-thinking approach.

“He’s obviously a very good young talent,” King, told Starsport.”Mauricio Pochettino’s got proven history of developing young players and making them better.

King added:”If the club are looking at [Grealish] then I’m sure these things will all come into play.”

We are yet to make any new signings so far this summer and have less than five weeks left to strengthen Pochettino’s squad but despite the lack of activity, King believes Spurs should only make signings if they will improve the starting XI.

King said: “It’s always difficult to say. When I look at the team, I look at the 1 to 11, you ask how you can strengthen it and it’s pretty difficult because 1 to 11 is pretty strong.

He added:”You’ve got to be pretty careful when you’re looking out there in the market of who is actually going to make the team better. It’s a difficult challenge.
