PSG ready to match Alderweirelds £10m per season wage demands

A report in The Daily Mail says that Paris Saint-Germain are willing to match Toby Alderweireld’s £10million-per-season wage demands to lure him to France.

The Belgium international is set to leave Tottenham this summer after talks over a new contract collapsed.

The article says that Alderweireld wants a deal close to £200,000-per-week – nearly double the club’s current wage ceiling. He also wants a five-year deal, something Tottenham are unwilling to offer because the defender is 29-years-old.

Manchester United and PSG are keen on Alderweireld, but the French giants are ready to move to the front of the queue by indicating they are prepared to offer the centre-half the deal he wants.
Mauricio Pochettino has already told Alderwieireld he can leave this summer and left the matter in the hands of chairman Daniel Levy.

It represents a more than double your money demand from the Belgian surely designed at engineering a move away and that he’s never had any interest in staying.
