Report: Italian side rule out Tottenham transfer for former Chelsea winger

Sassuolo sporting director, Giovanni Carnevali has insisted that his in-form winger Jeremie Boga is ‘unsellable’ amid interest from several Premier League sides.

Carnevali told Corriere dello Sport that the club will not cash in on the young talent this summer despite interest coming from Tottenham and other Premier League sides.

Boga swapped Chelsea for the Serie A side just one year ago, however, following an impressive season in Italy, his future is under serious speculation (Transfermarkt).

“The big guys will not leave. It is our desire for the team to improve,” Carnevali said.

How much is Boga worth? I don’t ask myself that question for the simple fact that we don’t want to sell him. I declare him officially unsellable. Next season, he will stay at Sassuolo.”

Interest from Everton and Brighton was reported by Goal after Frank Lampard decided against opting for the £13.5m buy-back clause in the Ivory Coast international’s contract.

Spurs were linked with the 23-year-old by Italian outlet Calciomercato who believe that Jose Mourinho is looking to bolster his attacking options.

Spurs Web Opinion

It does not seem like a potential transfer that I can see Spurs truly being interested in this summer. We have much more pressing issues to address before looking at more wingers. Also, the sporting director seems pretty certain he will not be selling Boga this summer.
