Rumour Mill: Sidibe Waiting on Tottenham?

According to French outlet Le 10 Sport, Djibril Sidibe is open to a move to Tottenham this Summer, but is still waiting for Spurs to make an offer.

Monaco are reportedly facing a barrage of offers for their key players ahead of the upcoming transfer window after enjoying such a successful campaign last season, seeing them lift the title and reach the Semi-Finals of the Champions League.

Bernardo Silva, for example, has already finalised a deal taking him to Manchester City next season for a fee just shy of £45 million and speculation is also ever-mounting on other Monaco stars such as Kylian Mbappe, Fabinho, Benjamin Mendy, Thomas Lemar and Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Another player rumoured to be sniffing around the exit door at Monaco is Djibril Sidibe, who, according to Le 10 Sport, is keen to join up with international team-mate Hugo Lloris at Tottenham.

Though Spurs have been linked with the 24 year old for the past few weeks, it is reported that no offer has yet been made.

A transfer deal would likely rest on how many other Monaco stars do in fact leave the Stade Louis II and whether or not Kyle Walker leaves Tottenham this Summer.

If Monaco find themselves somewhat depleted of first team talent, they will be increasingly unwilling to let Sidibe leave too, which means Spurs will want to move swiftly for the right-back.

However, Tottenham will not need to sign Sidibe if Walker actually stays, so this transfer saga is a waiting game, to see which teams make a move first.

What would you rather? Kyle Walker staying at Spurs, or us selling for big money and buying in Sidibe as a replacement?
