Spurs battle Manchester United for Croatia forward

Tottenham are in a three way battle with Manchester United and Arsenal for the signature of Croatia star Ante Rebic.

Rebic completed a permanent transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this summer, having spent the last two seasons on loan with the Bundesliga side from Fiorentina of Italy.

However according to talkSPORT Eintracht are open to cashing in on Rebic following his excellent performances at the World Cup, with the 24-year-old helping Croatia reach their first ever final at the biggest sporting competition in the world.

Rebic has impressed in various roles in Croatia’s attack, including with his performance as a right winger in the semi-final defeat of England on Wednesday.

Spurs were linked with Rebic earlier in the summer, however  Manchester United and Arsenal are said to have entered the race to sign the Frankfurt ace.

German publication Sport Bild are running the reports, with claims that Bayern Munich and Napoli have also expressed an interest in Rebic.

Frankfurt are said to be looking to for around £44million (€50m) for Rebic, if they are to sell the forward this summer.
