Spurs given boost in N’Zonzi chase

Spurs and Barcelona have received a boost in the race to sign Steven Nzonzi from Sevilla, according to Estadio Deportivo

The World Cup winner has been a target for several clubs in and was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the winter transfer window.

However the Gunners have now pulled out of the chase, despite Unai Emery contacting the player to congratulate him on his World Cup triumph with France.

The midfielder came on as a substitute in the World Cup final to replace N’Golo Kante and helped Les Bleus fend off their tough Croatia opponents in a 4-2 win.

With Mousa Dembele’s contract situation remaining unclear Spurs are on the lookout for replacements and N’Zonzi fits the bill
