Spurs legend believes club would sell Kane for £100m

Spurs legend Paul Gascoigne believes Spurs would accept a £100million bid for Harry Kane, according to an article in The London Evening Standard.

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world right now and the article describes how he was on Monday named the most valuable player in football by CIES Football Observatory at a price of £177m, adding that the striker is preparing to lead England at the World Cup as captain, coming off the back of his best-ever scoring season of 41 goals in 48 games.

However the article adds that club legend Gascoigne feels that Tottenham would be convinced into selling their prized asset for £100m.

“It’s player power now,” Gascoigne told BetStars. “If the money is right and Tottenham want to sell him, they will do.

Gascoigne added: “That’s the thing nowadays is players have too much power, with their agents. If a team comes in with £100 million for Harry Kane, I don’t think Spurs will turn it down.”

Well personally I think Gazza is way way off the mark here and I think whomever would be interested would have to persuade the player first of all but they’d have to come up with at least £200m for Daniel Levy to even think about it.
