Spurs linked with Wolves attacker

Wolves forward Ruben Neves has given an update about his future. The Portuguese had a fine season in the Championship last season and was on the shortlist for the EFL player of the season, although he was pipped to that accolade by another Spurs linked player Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon.

Wolves won the Championship title by nine points and Neves is certainly hot property with no end of suitors for his signature this season.

Football.London say Liverpool are the bookmakers’ favourites to sign him at 6/4 with Sky Bet, but he is odds-on to stay at Molineux, with Sky Bet offering 4/9 that he is there for their first season back in the top flight.

And Neves recently gave an update about his future to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo saying in an interview, where Neves said: “Right now it’s not good for me to risk a way out. I feel very good at Wolverhampton, I have no reason to leave because I’m going to play in the best league in the world. The fans already know me, the club too and everyone knows what I can do for the club.

He added: “I spent a great year there and I love playing at Wolverhampton. Therefore, I have no interest in going out, because it’s the best for me and for my future.”
