Wolves forward Ruben Neves has given an update about his future. The Portuguese had a fine season in the Championship last season and was on the shortlist for the EFL player of the season, although he was pipped to that accolade by another Spurs linked player Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon.

Wolves won the Championship title by nine points and Neves is certainly hot property with no end of suitors for his signature this season.

Football.London say Liverpool are the bookmakers’ favourites to sign him at 6/4 with Sky Bet, but he is odds-on to stay at Molineux, with Sky Bet offering 4/9 that he is there for their first season back in the top flight.

And Neves recently gave an update about his future to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo saying in an interview, where Neves said: “Right now it’s not good for me to risk a way out. I feel very good at Wolverhampton, I have no reason to leave because I’m going to play in the best league in the world. The fans already know me, the club too and everyone knows what I can do for the club.

He added: “I spent a great year there and I love playing at Wolverhampton. Therefore, I have no interest in going out, because it’s the best for me and for my future.”

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. What is it with the media rag merchants, Neves has said he is happy at the Wolves, he’s staying and yet every day some twat has to try to sabre rattle.
Are these clubs paying the media to try and unsettle him, the only way Wolves will sell him to spurs is if they offer Kane and Ali and even then I doubt if we would sell.
Leave him alone free and end the speculation?

  2. Another so called football expert writing crap with the hope of getting picked up. Here is a tip Shane; stop writing crap and maybe you will make some progress.
