Spurs target asked to stay one more season at Bundesliga side

According to The Daily Mail Tottenham target Leon Bailey has been asked to stay for another season at Bayer Leverkusen.

The article says the speedy winger has attracted attention from other Premier league clubs this season with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, United and Liverpool all interested in the Jamaica-born star who turns 21 in August.

The article however says Tottenham were also showing the strongest interest in flyer who scored 12 goals and added six assists in 27 starts for the Bundesliga side

One of the main stumbling blocks will be that Leverkusen are prepared to demand a huge fee to deter suitors this summer and keep Bailey for at least one more season.

Spurs are looking to add more pace in their side however Leverkusen’s £60m plus valuation of a player that joined them for £17.5m in January 2017 will make negotiations difficult.
