Van Dijk will have work cut out against Kane believes Sherwood

Speaking on Sky’s The Debate former Spurs coach Tim Sherwood says Liverpool’s new £75m star Virgil van Dijk will have his work cut out to keep lethal Harry Kane quiet tomorrow.

We have won just twice in our previous 25 visits to Anfield.
however Kane is in blistering form having already bagged 30 goals this season and Sherwood is predicting a thrilling ‘Super Sunday’ between the Premier League’s third and fifth-placed teams.

“They will both go toe-to-toe and really try to win the football match,” he told The Debate. Both sides always look to play on the front-foot and we will see goals.

“They have both got very attacking options and I would give Tottenham the edge.”I know they have got a very poor record away from home against the top six sides.

Sherwood added: “I think it is going to be a fantastic game and it’s a chance for Tottenham to leapfrog Liverpool and get in them Champions league places because that is what they’re aiming for.
“Liverpool are a very good side and Mohamed Salah is on fire at the moment.Van Dijk was also a good signing but he may take a little time to embed. If Van Dijk handles Harry Kane then I will give them the edge, but I do think Tottenham will cause them problems.”
