VIDEO: Sherwood: ‘United’s good run will be hard to stop’

Tim Sherwood has called upon his Tottenham Hotspur side to impose themselves on Manchester United on New Year’s Day.

What is slightly odd and maybe somewhat pedantic from us is the fact that Sherwood refers to us as “they” in the latter part of the interview when asked about last year’s victory at Old Trafford. Although Sherwood wasn’t on the first-team coaching staff at the time, he was still a member of the Tottenham coaching set-up.

What do you think? Have your say below.

Tim Sherwood (on whether Old Trafford is still a hard place to visit): “Seems to be at the moment though doesn’t it? They’ve turned it around and they are on a run. We know from history what they do and they are on a run. They get a head of steam Man United and they are very hard to stop. We’ve got to try and find a way to stop them in their tracks and get something positive for ourselves. There won’t be fear – they won last year here didn’t they at Man United? Gareth (Bale) scored a great goal and Vertonghen. So, they’ve already been here and imposed themselves on Man United so hopefully they can use that as an experience to go forward.”
