Video: Spurs player spotted limping after arriving back at team hotel

Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier looked to be in some discomfort following his side’s 0-0 Champions League draw against Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday.

Footage has emerged which was taken after the team bus arrived back at the team hotel in Germany with the England international hobbling down the steps of the vehicle before limping towards the entrance of the hotel.

Dier received treatment early on in the Group D encounter after he cleared the ball into touch which resulted in his knees making heavy contact with the surface at the Deutsche Bank Arena, however, did manage to complete the full 90 minutes despite looking to be in some discomfort.

Hopefully, Dier was experiencing some soreness and nothing more ahead of Saturday’s trip to Brighton.

The 28-year-old has been a rock at the heart of the Spurs defence and his ball-playing ability would be hugely missed if he was sidelined. Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies do not possess the same ability as Dier, who showed his range of passing early on in the match when he released Emerson Royal on a couple of occasions down the right.
