According to The Daily Mirror Spurs will have to go to £30million to land Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.

The article says that Mauricio Pochettino wants the starlet to compete with Dele Alli adding that the Argentine wants more competition for the attacking role behind Harry Kane.

The article goes on to say that Spurs have identified Grealish, 22, who finished the season in sparkling form for Villa in the Championship, as the player to fill that role.

It adds that Grealish is now set to be sold as Villa needs to raise funds to bail out embattled Chinese owner Dr Tony Xia and that Spurs have suggested an initial £15m offer but sources have told Mirror Sport they expect Grealish to go for double that with Villa are likely to insist on the majority of the fee being cash upfront.

The former Republic of Ireland U21 international scored three goals and had six assists last term after returning in November from a serious kidney injury in pre-season, which required surgery and current Villa boss Steve Bruce and last season’s club captain John Terry have tipped the youngster to play for England in future.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. We’d then have three players who seem unable to score pr provide assists, and each of whom cost £30 million. Another bench warmer to join Lamela and Sissoko.

Aside from that, Levy will not sanction incoming without outgoing. How would you intend getting rid of players who no one else would want and may not want to leave?

    • Typical uneducated point of view, you clearly didn’t watch jack this season mate, worth every penny of £30m in today’s market, not our problem you bought lamela and sissoko and they turned out to be shit! Jack only played since Xmas, 3 goals and 6 assists ain’t bad and controlled most games he played in, he also has PL experience, been to an FA cup final after single handedly destroying Liverpool in the semi……maybe actually watch a player before forming a real opinion. Agree with you on levy though, and it’s his attitude that will be spurs downfall, can’t buy cheap and compete anymore, look how many players turned you down in summer because of his reluctance to spend on fees or wages….it’s a real shame too because you are a great club and deserve to be up there every season

    • I’l have him here in a heartbeat, young english and best a playmaker not many about near these shores.
17mill max take or leave it villa because that’s all levy will slap on the table.
