Villa want £30m for Spurs target

According to The Daily Mirror Spurs will have to go to £30million to land Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.

The article says that Mauricio Pochettino wants the starlet to compete with Dele Alli adding that the Argentine wants more competition for the attacking role behind Harry Kane.

The article goes on to say that Spurs have identified Grealish, 22, who finished the season in sparkling form for Villa in the Championship, as the player to fill that role.

It adds that Grealish is now set to be sold as Villa needs to raise funds to bail out embattled Chinese owner Dr Tony Xia and that Spurs have suggested an initial £15m offer but sources have told Mirror Sport they expect Grealish to go for double that with Villa are likely to insist on the majority of the fee being cash upfront.

The former Republic of Ireland U21 international scored three goals and had six assists last term after returning in November from a serious kidney injury in pre-season, which required surgery and current Villa boss Steve Bruce and last season’s club captain John Terry have tipped the youngster to play for England in future.
