Wanyama seeking new deal

According to The Mirror our midfield enforcer Victor Wanyama wants a new contract with Liverpool and Manchester United on his trail.

He’s two years into the five-year deal he signed when he joined Spurs in 2016.Wanyama only just returned in January from a long term knee injury and the article says he is among a number of options for our Premier League rivals ahead of the summer.

The article adds that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has made it clear that he will be hunting a new midfielder this summer while Liverpool are considering replacements for contract-rebel Emre Can. The article also says that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has also spoken publicly of his admiration for Wanyama.

The article concludes by saying Mauricio Pochettino sees the star as an important player in his squad and but has used him sparingly since his return with a view to sustaining his long-term fitness.
