Fabrizio Romano answers question on Spurs interest in Vlahovic

Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that there is currently no deal that would take Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina to Tottenham this summer.

These comments came after a report from Sport Klub in Serbia claimed that Tottenham were willing to meet Fiorentina’s asking price for the striker. The report claimed that Spurs had agreed to pay a £51m fee for Vlahovic and that a move was edging closer.

Vlahovic would have certainly earned more than a few admirers after his Serie A performances last season in which he netted an impressive 21 goals.

It has also been reported this summer that Tottenham’s new managing director of football, Fabio Paratici has singled out Vlahovic as a possible Harry Kane replacement.

However, other reports claimed that AC Milan and Atletico Madrid were also competing for the 21-year-old this summer.

Despite all of this, Fabrizio Romano has seemingly denied the rumours by replying to a tweet asking about Vlahovic to Spurs news.

It appears since Paratici’s arrival, we have been linked with a host of players who are currently playing in Italy. Tottenham need to sort their head coach situation first as it’s likely that whoever comes in, will want to have his say on transfer targets.
