VIDEO: AVB hints at more Tottenham arrivals

Tottenham coach Andre Villas-Boas, interviewed at the Premier League launch on Thursday spoke about the arrival of striker Roberto Soldado from Valencia and the new season ahead for Spurs.

AVB has been busy in the summer transfer window with the likes of Soldado, Paulino, Nacer Chadli and Étienne Capoue onboard whilst Clint Dempsey, Tom Huddlestone, Jake Livermore (loan), William Gallas, Steven Caulker and David Bentley have all headed out of the exit at White Hart Lane.

Sunday cannot come quick enough, it will be fantastic to see Soldado leading the line for us against Palace and hopefully he can bag a goal or two as he aims for a 20 goals a season tally.

The fact that AVB also hints that our tranfer dealings are not yet over make it even more exciting.

AVB said: “I think six weeks have gone by and we have not completed everything that we want to do. We’re changing our squad a lot. So these changes that we have made haven’t yet given us the possibility to work them together. So I would say that at the moment we are a great, great team but we are looking to further strengthen our squad to make it even better.”

“We have released Clint (Dempsey) who has joined the MLS so because of that we wanted to conclude this deal for a striker and we managed to get a world class striker on board, experienced in the Champions League, experienced at the top level, just coming from a great Confederations Cup as well like (another close-season signing) Paulinho and a great, great addition to our team.”
