Another Brazilian who has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham is Bernard, but any likeliness of a move to White Hart Lane has grown some extra distance.
Earlier this month, the player’s agent Hissa Moyes had claimed that Tottenham were the only side in the running to land the Atletico Mineiro star. However Andre Villas-Boas has spoken to the Portuguese press and although he admits that we are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old, a bid is unlikely to surface.
Should that be the case it would be a real shame as there is no doubting his talents. He has shown glimpses of what has caught AVB’s eye during his apperances for Brazil during the Confederations Cup.
AVB told Desporto: “Bernard’s a player that we monitor like many others, but I think Tottenham will do nothing regarding them.”
Let’s hope that we can push through the move for Paulinho or it will prove to be another frustrating transfer saga for us Spurs fans.
