Spurs to tell Bale he is not for sale at any price

The Sunday Telegraph are reporting that Tottenham will tell Gareth Bale that he is not for sale at any price when he finishes a holiday in the United States.

The 23-year-old is linked on a daily basis with a move to Real Madrid with a transfer value of £60million to £85million depending on which report you read. Spurs will tell Bale that no offers will be accepted, even if he decides against signing a new deal at White Hart Lane.

Madrid have been very vocal about their determination to bring Bale to the Bernabéu. Their chairman Florentino Pérez said that Bale “was born” to play for Madrid, while Zinedine Zidane has also publically praised the Welshman. Add all that together, along with Jonathan Barnett’s comments and it makes for a very worrying mix for Spurs fans.

It looks like we’ll be in for another week of Bale speculation.
