“It would be a fantastic opportunity to play for Tottenham”

Paulinho has been quoted as saying that he cannot reject the chance to move to Tottenham.

The midfielder has given his strongest indication yet that he will say yes to a move to White Hart Lane after the Confederation Cup ends on Sunday. His signing would represent a massive boost to our squad ahead of the new campaign – for those who have seen him play for Brazil, he has fantastic stamina and covers the park well.

“I feel I am ready to experience football at the highest level in Europe and the opportunity to play in England is a dream,” Paulinho is quoted in The Independent.

“It’s a great pleasure to be linked to such a great club like Tottenham. They have a reputation as one of the great clubs in England who play exciting, attacking football which suits my style.

“I couldn’t turn them down if they made me an offer. It would be a fantastic opportunity to play for Tottenham.”

Paulinho had also been linked with Serie A duo Inter Milan and Roma.

  1. I can't say I've seen him enough to know his game very well. Is he that creative midfielder we've been missing? Either way, it's great to see the club signing its targets early. COYS

  2. Wow, surprised to see this. I thought he was waiting till after the competition? Also his quotes the other day didn’t sound convincing. So is it basically a Done deal then?

Maybe with another man from brazil will persuade damiao to join to,. Maybe

  3. I haven’t watched him to much but I understand he’s similar to sandro except more creative and attacking. Say sandros 60% defensive 40% (just an example) then switch those round for him, so they should make a terrifying partnership behind dembele who can play more forward than last season.

  4. c'mon u spurs! brazilian paulinho would be well suited for tottenham hotspur sign him up…also like more goals! 2 x class stikers please! cashin surplus & old boys …futuristic!

  5. Lets hope there's not a team hiding in the shadows .
I can't believe we are going to be the only club to meet the buy out clause, & offer the highest wage .
There could well be another Prem club interested.
Could be a big early test for DL s wage structure plans !
