VIDEO: AVB on Bale exit

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas Boas has confirmed the departure of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.

He wished the Welshman “all the best” at the Bernabeu after he completed his world-record move to the Spanish giants. It’s important as a club that we do not dwell on the loss of Bale, we’ve brought in some quality players and are much stronger as a unit.

AVB said: “The player is an absolute wonderful player, he is going to join Real Madrid so we wish him all the best. He has left us with great memories from last season which I think every Tottenham fan cherishes but he has moved on and we move on as well.”

“We have to move forward. There are lots of clubs that have this type of transfer activity and they just have to move forward. You can only look as Swansea for example, outside we can look at FC Porto that loses five or six players and reinvests once again. So at the moment Tottenham has made some great, great reinvestments from all of the money from Gareth Bale into the team which is wonderful.”

  1. All Spurs supporters have to face the negatives with patient.
    It's only the beginning.
Ignore all the taunts…be it from Wanker, the Arse and their arrogant fans.
Yeah they won…but only 1-0 at the emirates but were defensive for most part of the 2nd half.
They put 2 RB and 2 LB against Spurs bombardment…
Dawson shouldn't start and be captain. The goal was his fault and make Giroud(an ordinary player)
    looks good.
Once the right player click and gel Spurs should be alright.
Looking forward for a return at White Hart Lane against the scum especially their clown goalie.
