“100% on Poch” – Some Spurs fans furious with manager after Arsenal defeat

Tottenham Hotspur have suffered a North London derby defeat at Arsenal for the 25th time in the last 26th matches at their place.

Spurs led 2-1 at the half time break but three second half goals from Arsenal have meant that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have suffered a 4-2 defeat.

The Tottenham boss has been questioned by some sections of the Spurs support for his decision making and tactical decisions at the Emirates.

Notably the decison to start the experienced Toby Alderweireld on the bench and instead select the inexperienced Juan Foyth.

Fans are also frustrated at his decision to drop Eric Dier into a back three instead of utilising the Belgian.

Pochettino also did not make any changes when at 4-2 down he decided to replace Heung-min Son with Lucas Moura, Dele Alli with Harry Winks and Ben Davies with Danny Rose.

Jan Vertonghen looked lethargic throughout the game and this was compounded on 85 minutes when he was shown a second yellow card.

  1. Vertongen today was simply not up to the standards. Could be lack of matches or is he in the elevator down?
But above all Mr Pochettino once again did nt take the necessary decisions on time and bad tactics
. It was obvious after 10 min in second half that defence suffered especially Vertongen, and midfield had to help, which meant no attack at all. Not until min78 came the subs. Far too late. So in january sell some and get fresh blood, and monitor Coach, It might be time for a change in the summer…
    COYS!
