£11 million Spurs flop set for loan exit

According to Sky sources, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is set to join German outfit Mainz on loan.

The winger was left out of the Tottenham Hotspur squad for the Premier League opener against Newcastle United last weekend, despite featuring regularly during pre-season, including a goal against AC Milan.

The loan arrangement is said to include an option for Mainz to buy the 23-year-old at the end of the season.

Nkoudou has failed to make an impact at Spurs since his £11million switch from Marseille in 2016 and even failed to hold down a regular spot during a loan stint at Burnley last season.

In the 23 appearances he has made for the club, it’s evident that he does not have the quality to be able to make an impact on our first team, not even from the bench.

Hopefully, he doesn’t drag his heels over a loan switch and is shipped off to the Bundesliga before the end of the month.
