Alasdair Gold names two Spurs players who will not play against Lokomotiv Plovdiv

Football journalist Alasdair Gold has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have left behind Dele Alli and Toby Alderweireld out of their squad for tomorrow’s match.

Spurs make the trip to Bulgaria to face Lokovotiv Plovdiv in the Europa League second qualifying round.

Gold claimed that six other players have remained back in London ahead of Sunday’s Premier League match on the south coast at Southampton while Harry Kane is set to feature against Plovdiv (Mirror).

While Dele has not been included in the European tie, Gold has insisted that the England midfielder remains part of Jose Mourinho’s plans and is not expected to leave the club before the transfer window closes early next month.

However, in a contrasting claim, the Daily Mail have suggested that Dele could leave Tottenham before October 5th, with Inter Milan and PSG said to be interested.

Mourinho admitted that Dele was sad after the Portuguese decided to bring him off at half time during the 1-0 defeat to Everton on Sunday when he was replaced by the defensively sided Moussa Sissoko (Mirror).
