“Announce Batshuayi” – Some Spurs fans react after striker leaves on loan

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that young forward Kaziah Sterling has joined Sunderland on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

Sterling, 20, moves to the Stadium of Light to help fill the goalscoring void left by their prolific marksman Josh Maja, who recently joined Bordeaux. Maja scored 15 in 24 League One matches and was ironically linked with a potential switch to Spurs (Express).

The Spurs youngster has seen his opportunities limited in North London after finding himself behind Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and Fernando Llorente in the pecking order.

He recently made a late cameo in the 2-0 FA Cup defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park and will get the opportunity to play regular first time football with the Black Cats.

After leaving the youngster head north, some Spurs fans are pleading for the club to bring in Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi.
