Another transfer target bites the dust

Luis Fabiano has once again insisted that he will be staying at Sevilla.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has already admitted that he would love to bring the Brazilian to the Lane, but it looks as if he will be staying in Spain.

“During my time at the World Cup I was very calm because I knew that I was going to stay at Sevilla,” Luis Fabiano told the club’s radio station. “Much was said but nothing true.

“I couldn’t talk because I was with the Brazil team but I have a year left on my contract with Sevilla and I am very happy.

“I really want to defend once again the Sevilla badge and I would love to help lift a trophy in August.”

  1. Fabs is staying because he knows after next season he can go on free which means a bumper wage deal. So spurs with its GOOD WAGE STRUCTURE won't be attractive for Fabs. THIS COMMENT APPEARS TO BE BEMOANING OUR LACK OF TRANSFER ACTIVITY- YET APART FROM CITY & THE ODD CLUB NO-ONE HAS BEEN ACTIVE IN THE TRANSFER MARKET. And I believe in this climate a few Loan deals will become available.
