Tottenham Hotspur certainly haven’t started the season well this year, but Arsenal legend, Ray Parlour, seems to have suggested that Leicester City are a bigger club than the Lilywhites.
Granted, Leicester currently sit in fourth with 14 points and four wins, compared to Spurs down in ninth with 11 points and three wins.
Leicester also beat Tottenham to the title back in the 2015/16 season, with Pochettino’s men pushing the Foxes throughout the majority of the season before dropping off once the trophy was lost.
However, Spurs have finished consistently above Leicester City throughout the Premier League era, before the Foxes title win and since.
Tottenham also made the Champions League Final last season, the biggest match in club football, with Leicester not even playing in the competition.
Parlour implied that Leicester’s recent trophy may make them a bigger club that Spurs, although TalkSPORT host, Alan Brazil, was quick to deny such claims.
On whether Brendan Rodgers would leave Leicester for Spurs, Brazil said: “Tottenham’s a massive club. They are a bigger club than Leicester, all day long.”
Parlour argued: “They have won the Premier League, though, Leicester. Revenue, it would be Spurs because of the new stadium and how much money they could generate there. But if you look at it, it’s all about trophies. And they [Leicester] have won the Premier League.”
Brazil said: “I know they have. But Tottenham is still a bigger club. Celtic and Rangers are bigger clubs than Leicester.”
?️ Alan: “Spurs are massive.”
?️ Laura: “Bigger than Leicester?”
?️ Alan: “All day long!”
?️ Ray: “Leicester have won the Premier League, Spurs haven’t!”

Spurs Web Opinion:
Huge respect for Leicester as a club, but this is a non-argument. Tottenham are a bigger club by a mile. The fact that Spurs haven’t been able to secure that first big trophy yet is a bit of an irrelevant argument, in my opinion.
